Founded in 2009 by Jessica Weiss, our mission is to engage and assist communities to reduce hunger while simultaneously reducing food waste. growingSOUL creates, implements and advocates for sustainable, interconnected, reciprocity-based food systems benefitting the vitality of communities and their residents as well as our planet.

Multi-generational, diverse volunteers engage hands-on, becoming lifelong-learners and connectors.

​

We demonstrate, teach and advocate the necessary strategies to create a zero-waste food cycle including composting, local food production, preparation, and preservation, all fueled by renewable energies.
